Simple Image Gallery Plugin can do this

You put pictures in a dirctory like /images/stories/Sara-Eric-3.

You instert {gallery}Sara-Eric-3{/gallery} into an article and it displays all the pictures

in that directory/gallery when you display the article.

You may set picture and thumbnail sizes in the configuration for Simple Image Gallery.
